We all make mistakes as a blogger. But the question lies in for how long? Success could only come our way if we are quick learner that learns from the mistakes and never repeats them. You would make mistakes. But try making different ones each time. NOT same. There are those blogging mistakes and blunders that could kill our blog success.
They often say:
“Your birth is a mistake you'll spend your whole life trying to correct.”
So here are few of those blogging mistakes, that i made in my early days, and try to work them out now, could have killed my blog if were not dealt timely. You may call them mistakes or something that were still to be learnt in early blogging career, either way, we all need to deal with them at some point.
What do you want to achieve with your blogging career. The time that you spend online (that your mom always talks about), where would it make you go? Having a set goal is extremely important so that we could then mark strategies to deal with them.
Mistake 2# No Patience
Blogging is not a one day get rich scheme as you may have often heard. It took me more than a year to get used to the things going around. Search engine optimization was something really fancy to me, and i remember the first day i read the word 'SEO' i felt like a technical guy. ;)
Be patient, other wise you would get demoralized and would give up as sooner as in a month. There is always so much to learn about at to experiment with. It never ends.
Mistake 3# Writing Content With No 'Head' And 'Tail'
You would often read many posts that you leave off as you dont find your self going any where with them. There isnt any solid though behind the idea and the aims that are to be achived with the post. Simply know where you want to be at the end of this post. Write the entire content in bullet points (in notepad may be) so that you may know what you have to achieve at the end of the post.
Mistake 4# Lack Of Sufficient knowledge
Mistake 5# Checking Stats Too Often
Again this embarks lack of patience. No one gets thousands of visitors on the first blogging day. Checking out blog statistics after every hour can be damaging and would distract you from the real constructive task, that is to build the content.
Mistake 6# Posting Inconsistently
Would you consider a newspaper that is inconsistent in throwing out news? Never! People like to be where they get what they want and 'when' they want. Make sure you set your post frequency wisely.
This article would help you doing so:
Mistake 7# Lack Of Social Media Exposure
This may be a mistake or you haven't yet tried this venture for your new blog, i would say its a killer opportunity to get your voice to thousands of people who might like your content, who would other wise wont know if it even exists.
Make sure you have Twitter, Facebook, Google+ etc pages set out and that you share your new articles over there.

Mistake 10# Bad SEO! Really Kills It All
If there is one thing that i would like to point out from this entire post is the blog's SEO. After all that's what brings you the 'back bone' traffic from search engines. Make sure you look up to 'On' and 'Off' page SEO.

Mistake 11# Not Editing The Content
Do you read up your post once you're done writing it? Those silly mistakes and typos (typing errors) give out a bad impression on the visitors and they take your content lightly. It also has a bad impact of SEO.
Mistake 12# Long Boring Paragraphs?
Do you format your content in small and short paragraphs that are pleasing to the eyes? People basically first scan out the entire page to see if they could get juice out of it in least amount of time. Every second matters when you're working online. More than 90% of the people reach out to Internet to solve their problems.
So no one would ready long bulky paragraphs..
Note what format of paragraphs we use here at this blog. Maximum of 3-4 lines approximately.
Mistake 13# Writing Hard English That May Be For PHDs?
Note that we are not showing our English writing skills here at blogging platform. All we aim is to make the reader know what he came there to. Most readers might not even get your hard English sentence structure with difficult vocabulary used. So why waste your vocabulary? You may use it in exams ;)
Mistake 14# No Use Of Headings / Bullets Points
Note how this post is divided into headings so that you could hover over the entire content. Does your content lacks that? Fix it as soon as possible.
Mistake 15# No Use Of Images
Images are vital to a quality content! No images, no readers interest. I often try to support my each heading (bullet point) with a different relevant image. It gives a life to the entire content.
Mistake 16# NEVER Copy Content!
Dam Huge mistake! I often find BloggingeHow's articles published on other blogs with a footer saying (kindly report to BloggingeHow if you find this article else where ;P ) still many don't realise that it ain't gonna give them anything.
Wonder why would one waste their time to do that. Search engines know (in most cases) the owner of original content and they would always show your blog up on SERP.
In most cases, such blogs are doomed to death when they get penalized in those Panda type of updates.
Mistake 17# You Snub Comments?
You don't reply to comments that you get and when you do, you snub out your commentators. Not a good idea folk. Who else would even come out to your blog. Commenting is the second stage of engaging readers. When they would know that the commentators are never replied, they would loose interest in the blog as a whole.
Mistake 18# You Never Introduced Guest Posting
Why don't you consider guest posting on your blog? Guest authors and their contribution can take your blog to a whole new level. This is what the pros say, that a blog is on autopilot. There comes out a point in blogging career where your hard work pays of and then your blog is entirely shifted over to the guest authors.
You just have to chill back and enjoy the fame :) Indeed not!
So i hope we all try to improve these mistakes that we make in our blogging career so that our growth doesn't get stagnant.
