In BuySellAds, once you get approved, you get a dashboard (main menu/home area) from where you can control your entire BSA stuff. Couple of days back i posted 4 Reasons Your Blog Wont Get BuySellAds Approval. Though its quite enticing to notice BuySellAds ad spots on popular blogs, but getting to a point where you start getting advertisers is not quite simple.
Just like Google AdSense. Even though you might get approved (when your site/blog is still young) but you would find it quite hard to actually make something out of it. Due to the low traffic, people could hardly make any clicks (money) through their AdSense accounts.

So in today's post, i would like to feature out the basics (general) feature of the BSA (BuySellAds) dashboard, and the features that are available to us once we get approved.
Below is the picture of the dashboard, and how it looks like.
The above picture is basically the general dashboard (My account page) that one could even see when the account is NOT approved. The real magic and excitement is revealed in the 'Properties' section, that i will talk about in a minute.
In 'My Account', as you could see, there isn't much to explore. You could perform the following task from up here:
- Changing the password
- Working with Cash Out Settings
- Accessing your Advertised Ads (Any ad place that you may have bought for advertisement)
- My Properties (THE REAL FUN)
Getting On To 'My Properties' (Let The Fun Begin)
This is the very next page that you get to see after the Main menu page. My properties is where you could manage your entire blog/website BuySellAds settings. There are couple of interesting things that i have mentioned below.
View Stats is where you could monitor the statistics of the ads sold on your blog. You could learn from the results and notice that which ad spots are performing well for the advertisers. And thus then you could adjust your strategies accordingly.
'Edit site' is the option where you could edit the listing of your blog on BSA (BuySellAds) directory. In case you don't have the idea of the BSA directory, its like a market place where all the blogs (that are approved by BSA) are listed in their respective categories.
Advertisers roam around in the niche of their interest and choose the blogs of their liking on the basis of their statistics and the ad costs etc. To make sure that your blog looks perfect (editing your listing wisely really helps in selling your ad banners overall, apart from the role of your blog achievements, traffic, Alexa, Social presence etc)
I would write a post on Editing Your BSA listing soon.
View Directory Listing
This button would simply lead you towards your unique directory listing page (unique URL) that displays your blog. This is the page where you entire blog is showcased to the advertisers.
From Description, Logo, Ad Spots, Blog Statistics, Thumbnail etc. This is where the real stuff happens.
Update Public Stats
This is simply the button, that updates your public stats for your blog. As your blog keeps on improving day by day, you tend to get more subscribers (Facebook, Twitter fans), your page rank may increase or your Alexa may shoot up.
So by keeping your stats up to date, you make sure that you showcase your blog's full potential in front of the advertisers.
Promote Via Twitter
This is kind of a twitter integration into BSA. By clicking this little button, you can share your BSA directory page to your twitter fans to check out your ads spots etc. Though its a good idea to promote your listing but there isn't much use too.
As your fans are not really the potential buyers of ads on your blog. They tend to get to your blog for getting content. Still this can bring in some attention if the tweet gets viral.
So yeah that's pretty much it for today. Hope that gave your a general idea of the dashboard for BuySellAds network. This would motivate you too in getting your account approved as soon as possible.
Below are couple of posts that would help you get accepted by BSA in near future.
