Test Your Blog/Website Loading Time Using Pingdom
Making sure that your blog/website loads fast is one of the top priorities of a webmaster. Blog loading speed could directly effect your traffic from search engines. You wont be able to rank higher as loading speed is one of the top SEO strategies that a blogger needs to take care of.

There are couple of ways by which you could improve your blog's loading speed. Make sure that the media (pictures) that you upload to your blog are of less size (or if they are huge, then make sure to compress them), your blog's javascript and CSS is compressed. Its simple. Go to Pingdom Tools and type in your blog's URL in the field as shown below in the picture. Once you hit 'Test Now', it would take few seconds to test out your blog from every angle. It would load the CSS, JavaScript, images etc and would give detailed results that what makes your blog load slower, if thats the case.

How To Interpret Your Blog/Website Loading Speed Results?


Once the results are compiled, it would show up a time line like display where every thing that loads up on your blog would be displayed. May it be the images, logo, CSS, JavaScript, JS files, Social media widgets etc.

Once you find a certain widget that has a huge bar chart, that means its slowing down your blog. So get into the details of that widget and make sure you find an alternative of it and remove it later. Or you could optimize them with the help of those 3 articles mentioned early in the post.
