How to Install WordPress on Bluehost

Bluehost is one of the most popular web hosting server out there specially for WordPress blogs. We have talked a lot about how seamless and easy to use Bluehost is in our previous posts, so without further due, we'll jump right into the steps that would help you to install WordPress on your Bluehost account.

So without spending any further time, lets get right into the few minor steps that would install Wordpress on your Bluehost account. You can install as many WordPress blogs on your Bluehost hosting seamlessly.

It's fun to install.

 Step #1 Navigate to Bluehost Dashboard

Make sure that you're first on the Bluehost Dashboard that looks something like below.

 Step #2 Choose WordPress Option

Click WordPress icon under heading "Website Builders" which would take you to the menu where you will get started with the few more clicks to install WordPress on Bluehost.

Once you click the WordPress logo (button), a new window would show up. Follow the next step now to.

Step #3 Hit Install Button (That Easy!)

Now simply click the green "Install" button on the top which would get you started. When  click the Install button, it would give you options to choose the directory where you would install your WordPress blog.

Step #4 Choose Directory of Installation

This is where you would have to choose a directory where your WordPress will be installed. This is totally your choice if you wish to Install it to the root directory or in any other sub directory. If this seems too techie, below is the example.

Note that i have typed in "Blog" in the above picture as the arrows shows.

This would install the WordPress for me on the sub directory named "Blog". So you would be able to access the blog as:

And if you leave the sub directory slot empty (don't type anything to it), it would install WordPress on the root so your URL would look like:

So it's your choice. You would go for a sub-directory installation if you wish to keep your home page of your website static and display other stuff on it, and keep the blog section to sub directory.

Step#5 Last Step! Here You Go!

Now here is where you can set your new WordPress blog's log in password for access the Dashboard of your blog (the back end).

Click the option that says "Show advance options" where you would be setting your log in details (Name, password etc), as shown in the image below.

Note that any information you enter here can be altered later on too though this will be used for initializing your blog. The password you enter here would be via which you would be able to log in to your WordPress's blog for the first time.

So make sure you save the password with you that you enter here.

Finally, click "Install Now" button and you're all done. The work on your end is all done and now you simply need to sit back and enjoy your tea. It would take couple of minutes before your WordPress would be installed on your bluehost account.
